FATEH DEEP SINGH, J. (ORAL) –

1. The matter has been taken up through video-conferencing on account of outbreak of pandemic COVID-19.

2. The petitioner has come up in this civil writ petition under articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a prayer by way of writ of mandamus by directing the respondents to grant the balance amount of gratuity of Rs. 1,57,457/- alongwith interest @ 18% with further directions to grant the revised pay scale from 01.12.2011 as approved by the Registrar Cooperative Societies Punjab, Chandigarh to the employees of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies and make payment of all consequential benefits including revised retirement dues with interest @ 12% per annum interest, for which, for which “Legal Notice and Advance Notice for Writ Petition” dated 09.04.2021 (Annexure P-8) has also been served by the petitioner.

4.In the light of oral submissions of the petitioner side the directions are issued to respondents to duly consider the “Legal Notice and Advance Notice for Writ Petition” dated 09.04.2021 (Annexure P-8) as representation of the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law by passing a speaking order, preferably, within a period of one month from the date of passing of this order.
